Playing Catch Up

Do you ever feel like you are forever playing catch up with the world?

It always seems to me that as soon as I feel I have a handle on things, something changes. Now I am all for change. After all, I went from being a securely employed person in the dot.com world to a unsecured entrepreneur in print publishing. We gave up jobs, sold and bought a home, bought a business and moved two hours away from our family simply for a crack at a life with a wee face in it.

Since then, it has been nothing but change, growth, adapting, altering, shrinking and more.

But the speed at which technology and in particular social media changes is just a tad frightening. It begs the question if we are taking too seriously the statement that the ‘medium is the message’.
